The Buffalo Stars are pleased to announce that they have finalized a formal affiliation with the Kenai River Brown Bears of the North American Hockey League.

When the Buffalo Stars CHA Junior C Minor team began Training Camp back in August, the team had a single goal and that was to play competitive hockey and make the playoffs. Now, eight months later this team has left a legacy of dedication, respect, hard work and sportsmanship that will be the benchmark for future Buffalo Stars teams to reach. After the wild ride of emotions that was the Playoff experience in Pittsburgh, the Buffalo Stars set their sites on the prize that they earned: A trip to the USA Hockey Nationals. Who would have expected this a mere 8 months ago when this team began Training Camp.

The Buffalo Stars CHA Junior C team traveled to Pittsburgh this past weekend to participate in the League Championships. The event would include the Premier Junior B division; Selects Junior Major division and the MAD Junior Minor division.

In a continued effort to improve the overall ability, character and development of local youth hockey players the Buffalo Hornets and the Buffalo Stars will be enhancing their relationship. These sister organizations will work together in many new and exciting ways. This renewed partnership will focus on preparing the youth hockey players in the organization for their eventually transition into Junior Hockey and hopefully into the College ranks. In addition it will provide the Stars players an opportunity to develop invaluable life skills.

The Buffalo Stars CHA Junior C team is getting ready to depart for Pittsburgh and the CHA Playoffs. The boys depart Buffalo on Friday morning and embark on their journey which will hopefully advance them to the USA Hockey Junior C Nationals.
